Original 1963 USAF Issue Covington Industries, Inc.Vietnam War USAF Veteran F-4C Phantom IIAnd One of the 6 Original U-2 Pilots in January 1956 USAF POW ID'd K-2B Flight Suit In Size Small-Regular (34 to 36 regular)with Extremely Rare In Any Condition, Hanoi Hilton Pajama Shirt & Undershirt (1967 1972)Somehow I Forgot the Pictures of the Undershirt (That is the darker striped shirt with no markings on it....) Belonged to #1 Ranking POW OfficerIn Size Small Regular (34 to 36 Regular) Extremely Rare... Don't Miss This Group...!!! This impossibly rare group needs to find a museum or serious collector of rare Vietnam War memorabilia. Col. Stockman was one of the top three POW officers, actually the #1 by date of rank and was considered the POW commander. His POW ID number is on the button down out shirt and looks to be TU 4-487. He survived captivity at the hands of the North Vietnamese from June 1967 when the aircraft (F-4C Phantom II) he was flying came under fire and in the melee of a MiGCAP (Combat Air Patrol for interdicting NVAF MiG interceptors which were looking to shoot down bomb carrying fighter bombers) collided somehow with another F-4 in his unit and both went down down over North Vietnam, near a major MiG base called Kep northeast of Hanoi. He was captured, imprisoned and tortured - held as a prisoner in every major POW prison compound in the Hanoi area - Heartbreak, Las Vegas, Plantation, and Hoa Lo aka Hanoi Hilton, later known as Unity, until the surviving POWs were released in January 1973 after years of convoluted negotiations. He was also responsible for the idea and creation of the 4th Allied P.O.W. Wing emblem insignia Notably this exemplary USAF officer was also the first U-2 pilot to fly over the Soviet Union in 1956 on July 4th over Leningrad, nearby bomber bases, and I think at least one naval base - four years before Francis Gary Powers was shot down doing a similar reconnaissance flight over Soviet missile testing sites in central Asia. The U-2s flew with impunity over the Soviet Union from 1956 until the Gary Powers shoot down by a SAM. It always enraged Nikita Khrushchev that his military could put a satellite in space, but could not shoot down a U-2 flying slowly over his sensitive military sites.Col. Stockman flew P-51s in WWII and shot down two German aircraft in the course of 58 missions he flew in the ETO. He went inactive after the war so he could finish college at Princeton. After he was recalled for the Korean War he flew F-84Fs for SAC (yes, boys and girls for a short period SAC had its own fighter squadrons, notably at Bergstrom AFB in Texas - look it up (not on your phone - try reading a book!) before he was tapped to be one of the original six pilots for the U-2 program in January 1956. He flew the U-2 until around 1958 or so. When he came back from Europe he flew F-102s, followed by F-104s and then transitioned to F-4s in which he flew during his 310 missions in Vietnam before he was downed. At first he was squadron commander of the 390th squadron of the famous 366th TFW (Tactical Fighter Wing), but by June of 1967 he was commander of the 366th, then based at Da Nang AB, South Vietnam. After returning home to the United States in 1973, and spending several months recovering from the physically punishing and mentally exhausting effects of his 6 year captivity with the brutal North Vietnamese, he resumed his duty in the Air Force. He finished up his Air Force career at Kirtland AFB and retired in 1978. The zippers on the flight suit all work fine and the leather pull tab is perfectly intact. All pockets have painted or Parkerized gray metal zippers by Crown (USA) and there are Rau sage green snap button adjusters at the waist and sleeve cuffs with Crown zippers at the pant leg cuffs. The military grade painted or Parkerized gray brass main double zipper (top) is also made by Crown (photo 8) and the bottom zipper is a rare Coats & Clark zipper. The material of the flight suit itself is a 100% cotton in a light twill weave. The Red, White and Blue scarf comes from a clothing store in Ubon, Thailand called Rajawongse Clothiers (since 1961 and still in business today). This flight suit and scarf were in his gear that was sent back to the States after his F-4 was lost over North Vietnam and he was captured. There is a photo of him wearing this flight suit with the scarf circulating on the Internet. I will try to find and post a copy. Note: The Hanoi Hilton POW PJ shirt, undershirt (or hospital shirt?), and USAF flight suit with Red, White and Blue scarf are being sold as-is. There are no major issues with this flight suit that I could find. One small hole on the left sleeve (last photo). It appears to be Fine display condition..... Obviously washed because of the general appearance of the exterior and the label yet well cared for - it has beer can type full colonel eagles encased in clear plastic which was the norm from the late 50s through the Vietnam War period of the Cold War. sewn on each shoulder and a leather name plate in plastic on the left chest area above the slant zipper . A Tactical Air Command patch is located on the right.... This flight suit was definitely "flown" in combat and has the original manufacturer's very rare 1960s black label (photos 2 & 3) clearly shows it has only been well cared for then and all these years later! This flight suit is a July 1963 issue K-2B lightweight flight suit in USAF sage green, was made in the USA and is absolutely original to the period of late 1963 through 1967. The POW PJ shirt and undershirt were the last he was issued by his North Vietnamese captors at the Hanoi Hilton before he was repatriated to US authorities in February 1973. ORIGINAL FTA CABARET MAY 8&9 1971 MONTEREY FAIRGROUNDS BROADSIDE POSTERThis is a wonderful original. I received this as part of a collection of early 1970s broadsides from a California native. Most of the broadsides were from his time at University of Wisconsin but a couple were from the summers when he went home to California. I didnt realize how scarce and important this broadside was at the time but upon doing research, I realized that this very well could be one of only a few remaining posters from this important Anti Vietnam protest event. If you do your own research, you can find one example of a ticket from the event in an institution out there but none of this poster. The F.T.A. Cabaret was a countercultural touring show to promote opposition to the war, educate soldiers about conscientious objector status, and provide an alternative to Bob Hope's pro-war U.S.O. Tour. The name was an abbreviation for either "Free the Army" or "F*ck the Army." It was sponsored by the anti-war United States Servicemen's Fund. This performance was held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, near Fort Ord in Monterey, CA. It featured performances by actors Jane Fonda, Donald Sutherland, Gary Goodrow, and Peter Boyle; and music by Big Brother & the Holding Company (Janis Joplin's old band) and folksinger Barbara Dane. Original red and black printing on heavy card stock measuring 19 x 11 inches. Excellent condition. Clean with just a few small spots in the background. Pin holes in the corners. Otherwise it is really in outstanding condition. Folk singer Len Chandler's name is added to the bill with an inked stamp; also added by stamp is the request for "G.I.s & others, pick up tickets in advance." The poster features a central image of a fist clenching dog tags attached to a peace sign. Again, do your own research on this piece. A truly scarce piece of Anti Vietnam ephemera. Belongs in a museum but can be in your collection. FREE SHIPPING ANYWHWERE IN THE UNITED STATES! CHECK THE PICTURES ON THIS EXCELLENT PIECE!!! Offered is a unique and historical item, a Montagnard crossbow that was brought back from the Vietnam War. This crossbow was named and dated and is a true war trophy with a fascinating story behind it. It was obtained in Tay Ninh during the conflict and is an original piece of militaria from that period. Vintage Cu Chi Vietnam War Souvenir Jacket 1967 - 1968. Cuff buttons are missing. Zipper is delicate and fussy to get started, but intact and works. There is a small pull near front pocket, like bunched threading, not a hole. Upon inspection, I found no holes or tears. The jacket is black, some of the photos are a bit off in coloring. Was stored in smoke free home, in plastic, in a closet for most of its life. Overall, it's in very good condition. One owner. Sleeves: 25"Length: 25"Chest, pit to pit: 24"On Oct-02-24 at 22:44:42 PDT, seller added the following information:For anyone interested in the history of the listed item: This jacket belonged to a hero. My dad was inducted into the Army in April of 1967 and trained as a light weapons infantryman. While in basic training at Fort Gordon, GA, he qualified as a sharpshooter with the M - 14 rifle. In August of 1967, he departed Fort Jackson, SC, for duty in the Republic of Vietnam. In September, 1967, he was assigned as a rifleman with Company B, 3rd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. In October, he was reassigned as a rifleman within the battalion to Headquarters and Headquarters Company. In February of 1968, he was advanced to the rank/grade of specialist four (SP4)/E-4.In September of 1968, dad was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with "V" Device ..."For heroism in connection with military operations against a hostile force: Specialist Four "S" distinguished himself by heroic actions on 12 April 1968, while serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 22nd Infantry in the Republic of Vietnam. Established in their night defensive position, a friendly battalion came under an intense enemy attack. During the ensuing battle, Specialist "S", a member of the reactionary element, was ordered to a beleaguered section of the perimeter. Nearing the hard pressed section of the perimeter, the reactionary force came under an intense hostile attack. With complete disreguard for his own safety, Specialist "S" exposed himself to a heavy volume of fire as he successfully aided in repelling numerous hostile assaults. His valorous actions contributed immeasurably to the defeat of the enemy force. Specialist "S's" personal bravery, aggressiveness, and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, the 25th Infantry Division, and the United States Army."Dad received numerous other medals, as well. And he never got rid of anything. I'm a sentimental person, and I could put the jacket back in the closet for someone else to discover years, perhaps decades, from now. They won't know what it is or who it belonged to, and it won't be in better condition than it is right now ... they'd most likely throw it out. At least this way it might end up in the possession of someone who will appreciate it and take care of it. Thanks for reading -The daughter of Specialist "S" (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Important - Please read before bidding – Most all my auctions are from my own collection – I am the original owner and I bought them. If I list an item that I’m not/wasn’t the original owner, I’ll state it. Up for auction: On this U.S. Air Force Hamilton AN5740 24 Hour Navigator Pocket Watch and Carrying Case. From the Vietnam War era this U.S. Air Force Hamilton AN5740 G.C.T. 24 Hour Navigator Pocket Watch is in very good fully functioning working condition, with the original finish. It has some scratches on the back due to usage and age. I had this beautiful set for a few years and always received compliments whenever I wore the watch. I’ve sold other military watches and the customers were satisfied with their purchase. This is a great piece for the aviation collector or watch collector. The "GCT" or AN 5740 pocket watches were used for navigation purposes by all military branches. It was used by navigators on B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator during WWII as well as the Korean War and Vietnam War. The crystal could have been replaced, the jewler couldn’t be 100% sure when I had it serviced & cleaned when I first bought it a few years ago. The watch face is black with white standard & military number markings & G.C.T. The watch is marked as follows: Dial Markings: G.C.T. Back Case Markings: Navigation Master Watch TYPE AN-5740 H.W.CO. PART NO. 33106 DAAA25-68-C0616 Movement: 22 JEWELS The steel carrying case has a glass window with a rotation door. A few buyers asked me what year/period the carrying case is from. The ones from WWII to the Vietnam era look’s identical to me. The case could be a “re-issued” from WWII/Korean era or it could be new issue with the watch for the Vietnam war era. The wear on the case appears to be equivalent to the wear of the watch. The brass data plate is marked that reads: CASE, CARRYING, WATCH NAVIGATION U.S. ARMY A.C. GEO. H. ADAMSON TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN, U.S.A. It was designed to suspend the watch to protect it from the vibration and turbulence of the aircraft as well as a protective glass viewing panel so the pilot could look down at it without removing it. Attention buyers....I will not sell this jacket to a new buyer. Potential buyers must have a solid record of buying and selling on eBay before attempting to purchase this fine piece of memorabilia. Prior to shipping, I will research you to the best of my abilities, and if I feel you are trying to defraud me, I will cancel the order, refund your money and not ship the jacket. This jacket will ship with signature confirmation and insurance on the package. For sale is an incredibly rare and very hard to find piece of American war/conflict history. This is not just a piece of vintage clothing history but also a valuable artifact from one of the most controversial conflicts in U.S. history. Many American Vietnam War soldiers would purchase these souvenir jackets in Vietnam prior to returning home to the states. They would then wear these jackets as a way to commemorate their time overseas. This jacket is almost 60 years old, but it is in amazing, museum quality condition with very little sign of age. There are a few light stains on the silver silky interior lining, and the zipper was put in backward for some reason, but that is truly about all of the issues with this beautiful vintage jacket. The hand-sewn patches are all about near perfect with excellent vivid color. The black jacket shows no signs of fading, tears or rips in the material. The interior lining does not have any tears or holes in it. The original buttons on the sleeves are both still attached. The zipper works and zips all the way up to the top neck area. This jacket is a part of a rich history that is getting harder and harder to come by as most have been discarded or stuffed a locker in an attic or basement to rot away. It is a small to medium fit. This comes from a smoke free and pet free home. Please carefully review the ad and accompanying photos and ask any questions about the item(s) or condition prior to purchasing. I am happy to answer any questions you may have or send additional photos to help you make a good buying decision. Payment Policy: With Buy It Now, payment is expected immediately. Original Vietnam War Pathet Lao and North Vietnamese Army field cap. This hat was brought back from Vietnam by SSGT Bill Micheal. SSGT Micheal served with MACV SOG Headquarters. This hat was captured by a SOG team in Laos than brought back for evaluation. Michaels liked it and took it home. I bought this hat direct from his daughter. The original MACV SOG titled letter and cover is included. It basically discusses long distance relationship trouble and money problems with his future wife and how he is going to get jump pay to help out etc...This type of hat was worn by Pathet Lao cadre and soldiers. North Vietnamese advisors also wore this cap. The hat was supplied by the Chinese to the Pathet Lao as war aid and delivered by the North Vietnamese. The hat is made from herringbone cotton twill. The liner's headband is brown textured plastic. This plastic is now rigid from age. The lining is made from a softer cotton than the exterior twill. The bill is made from oil cloth which has chipped along the edges showing the cotton material underneath. The false chinstrap is leather. The two side buttons with stars are brass. This hat is super rare. This and one other that I bought from the family are the only real ones I have seen.Very rare cap. You will not see another. Please view all photographs as they are part of the description.I combine shipping, so please wait for an invoice if you have won multiple auctions. Please ask all questions before the auction's end. Sold as is. No returns. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
